Retrofit Skills Facility, MidKent College
This new standalone one-storey facility for MidKent College was delivered over a 30-week programme and completed in time for the new academic year. A full-height open workshop provides flexible spaces for teaching and practical learning with further enclosed facilities including a breakout space, toilets and staff office also constructed within the main building. The main structure has been constructed via steel frame with exterior cladding and brick.
The facility is training professionals to retrofit properties with renewable energy solutions. MKC’s cutting-edge curriculum will address the evolving demands of the construction and building services industry, offering courses across a spectrum of renewable energy technologies, including solar panels, energy-efficient heating systems, insulation solutions, and smart building technologies.
