Thrilled to share that our team has secured and commenced work on site at MidKent College!
The College offers a range of different level courses at its Maidstone campus for those wanting to get into the construction industry. They have been seeking to enhance the facilities available to students, providing more modern and functional spaces, and this new construction skills facility is the first step in them achieving that goal.
The new one-storey facility is being delivered over a 30-week programme and is set to complete in August 2024, in time for the new academic year. A full height open workshop will provide flexible spaces for teaching and practical learning, with ancillary facilities including a breakout space, toilets and staff office also being created. So far, works have included the completion of UXO surveys, groundworks and pilling.
Collaborating alongside MidKent College, we will be offering a range of social value activities for the students, with the aim of providing hands-on knowledge and experience of the construction industry alongside their studies.
